Welcome to the CarbIP Life Project Newsletter!

We are excited to share the progress and milestones achieved in the first six months since the project’s inception in August 2022. Our team has been diligently working towards meeting our project objectives, and we are thrilled to update you on our journey so far.

Milestone 1: Kick-off Meeting

The project officially commenced with a successful kick-off meeting held on August 24, 2022. This meeting set the stage for our collaborative efforts and outlined the roadmap for the upcoming phases.

Milestone 2: Material Sourcing Secured

We have made significant strides in securing the necessary materials for the project. We have received letters of support from suppliers, ensuring the supply of both recycled and virgin insulation fibers and beads. Although formal contracts were not established at this early stage, these letters of support mark a crucial step forward.

Next Steps

As we move ahead, our focus will be on:

• Testing the Materials Received: Conducting thorough tests to ensure the materials meet our project requirements.
• Ensuring Suitability: Verifying the suitability of the materials for our intended applications.
• LCA and EPD Benchmarking: Analyzing the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) of our existing products to establish benchmarks for comparison.
